Hyatt Residence Club Acquires Welk Resorts
Previously, former Welk Resorts had developed six resort properties in Branson, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, Breckenridge, and Palm Springs. However, after Marriott Vacations Worldwide acquired Welks Resorts in April of 2021, Hyatt Residence Club, an affiliate brand of Marriott Vacation Club, was set to combine their portfolio with Welk Resorts’. In 2023, Hyatt Residence Club and Welk Resorts came together under one brand, now known as Hyatt Vacation Club. Together, these vacation club brands offer 22 resorts within their combined portfolio, creating an even greater vacation experience for owners.
Today, you can find Hyatt Vacation Club resorts across the U.S. and Mexico. Their portfolio is divided into two collections of resorts: the Platinum Collection and the Heritage Collection. A Hyatt member in the Platinum Program has access to Platinum Collection resorts. Similarly, Hyatt members in the Portfolio Program have access to the Heritage Collection.
