What is RCI?
RCI, formerly known as Resort Condominiums International, is a vacation exchange company that is owned by Wyndham. Its extensive network is the largest in the world. Members are able to use their timeshare as trading power in the network, either with RCI Points or RCI Weeks. With this “currency” system, members are able to book vacations worth the same amount (or less) as their ownership. As with most vacation exchange networks, RCI has its share of fees for those who use its service.
How Much is RCI Membership Price 2025-2026
What is the price of RCI membership in 2025? If you are an RCI member, you are probably well acquainted with RCI membership fees. RCI is a subscription-based program, which means owners generally make payments in advance for using the services available. There are two types of memberships: RCI Weeks and RCI Points. Additionally, Points and Weeks members have the option to upgrade their benefits with Platinum and Gold memberships.

How Much Are RCI Exchange Fees: Membership Price 2025-26
RCI refers to its membership fees as Network dues. The fees you pay will depend on your membership.
Since owners use their timeshares year after year, RCI gives the option to purchase your membership for future years at a discount. By subscribing ahead of time, you won’t have to revisit your subscription year after year. Plus, you’re locking in this year’s rate for the next few years, depending on the package you purchase. RCI fees change every year, and the company reserves the right to change fees at any time at its own discretion.
What Are RCI Points?
There are two membership options for joining RCI. Despite what you may think, RCI Points is a program that both Points and Weeks owners can join. In other words, timeshare week owners have the option to choose either RCI Points membership or the RCI Weeks membership. When you enroll in RCI Points, your timeshare ownership is given a point value, and the assigned value of your ownership determines your trading power. The demand or popularity of your resort, season you own in, week number, unit type, etc. can all determine how many points you receive.
RCI Points members aren’t restricted to booking just vacations with their points, either. Use your points to book flights with RCI, or get incredible discounts with RCI cruises. The RCI Travel program allows members to use their timeshare ownership for more benefits.
RCI Points Fees
RCI Points members have a bit more flexibility in their membership (compared to weeks members) for the simple fact that points can be divided among several one to five-night stays as compared to weeks. If that is important to you, it may seem like a more valuable membership. For example, if you wanted to take a two-night stay in July and then use your other five days somewhere else a few months later, you hypothetically could. Whereas week members can only trade their week for another week somewhere else.
Your annual allotment of points depends on a number of factors, like your resort’s popularity, the type and size of your unit, as well as the season you own in.

Managing Your RCI Points Deposits
Points-based memberships are a great way to tailor vacations to your liking. Sometimes you may want to bank points for the next year if you don’t use them now. RCI has a few fees for points management.
A Points Saving fee occurs when you want to save your points to use the following year. A Points Extension fee applies when you want to roll over those points to the third year. The fee amount you pay depends on the number of points you wish to roll over. Additionally, you have the option to rent more points upon checkout. If you choose a resort that is out of your points range, you can rent more to make up the difference.

RCI Points Protection
Points Protection by RCI was designed to guarantee members a 100% refund on points they spend and ultimately do not use. The price of Points Protection is dependent on the number of nights a stay is.

RCI Points Partner Program
The RCI Points Partner Program enables members to exchange their points for discounts on various travel activities and services, including airfare, hotel stays, car rentals, and even theme park tickets. Members have 24/7 online access and more flexibility to choose the level of discounts they would like to redeem. Fees will vary by product and booking, so check with RCI for accurate fees to expect when booking incidentals through the Points Partner Program.
RCI Weeks Membership: Benefits and Price
Timeshare owners with an RCI-affiliated resort can deposit their week(s) on the Exchange Holiday program and book a vacation in another destination of the same or lesser value. Your trading power depends on multiple factors. These factors can include the popularity of your resort, unit type and size, as well as the week number or season you own.
RCI Weeks Fees 2025-2026
Through the RCI Weeks membership, owners can exchange their traditional week at their home resort for a week somewhere else. Similar to points membership, RCI Weeks is also a subscription-based program where fees are due each year to continue the use of the service. Below are the current membership fees, with the option to secure your subscription up to five years in advance.
RCI will assign your week a trading power value once it’s deposited on its platform. The Deposit Trading Power depends on a variety of factors, like your resort’s popularity, the size, as well as the type of unit you own, or the season you own in.

What is RCI Trading Power Protection?
RCI Trading Power Protection (TPP) is a fee you can pay that locks in the value of your week upon booking. This comes in handy only when you exchange your week for another week and then cancel the trip or want to re-book it. By having the TPP, RCI will not recalculate the week’s value.

RCI Weeks New Member Renewal Rates & Upgrade Rates
If you are an RCI Weeks member, you can find out if you are due for renewal when you sign into your account on the company’s website. The renewal date is also on your Weeks Account Statement, and RCI will send you a reminder when your membership is due for renewal or expiration. Members can renew their accounts at any time and save money by subscribing for longer periods of time, such as three to five years.

Like most exchange companies, RCI charges an exchange fee. The exchange fee now varies depending on whether you are a week or points member. Once you’ve decided which resort you would like to exchange for, you must then book the resort by exchanging your home week or points. This is where the exchange fee comes in. If you’re interested in giving your RCI membership as a gift for one year, you can use Guest Certificates through RCI. There is a Gift Certificate fee for transferring your membership for the year. This fee is applicable to both Points and Weeks members. The guest certificate allows a friend or family member the ability to check into your timeshare after you have booked your vacation through RCI. This is a great option if you’re looking for a gift for someone or if you won’t be taking a vacation this year.

How to Join RCI
In order to become a member of RCI and enjoy all of the benefits of vacation exchange, you must own a timeshare. Check with your resort to make sure they are affiliated with the company.
