Hyatt Vacation Club

Hyatt Vacation Club is a points-based timeshare program, giving owners flexibility and convenience when planning vacations. Every year, owners receive their annual allotment of points, which are used as currency. With points, you can make reservations at any one of Hyatt’s properties and more. This gives you the ability to take your vacations when and wherever you would like to. Not to mention, owners are able to bank and borrow points to save for a greater trip.

The World of Hyatt, formerly known as Gold Passport, is a loyalty program offered to all Hyatt timeshare owners. World of Hyatt offers discounts and complimentary upgrades to it’s members based on the criteria below. While this isn’t an exclusive list, it can provide a general outline of the program.

There are different tiers within the program. Not to mention, qualifying members have the ability to stay in over 3,000 resorts globally with their Club Points.

Member

Upon signing up, all owners are considered World of Hyatt members. Every time an owner spends $1 during qualifying stays, they receive 5 base points for every $1 spent on FIND experiences.

Discoverist

Considered the silver status of the program, owners reach Discoverist status after staying 10 qualifying nights, hosting three qualifying meeting events, or earning 25,000 base points. On top of the member perks, silver status members earn 10% bonus points on qualifying purchases. Additionally, Discoverists also receive complimentary bottled water each day of their stay, can request  a 2 p.m. late checkout and enjoy complimentary premium Internet where available.

Explorist

The Explorist tier of the World of Hyatt program is considered to be the gold status. By staying 30 qualifying nights, earning 50,000 base points, or hosting 10 qualifying events, members become an Explorist. Earning points is the same process as the lower tiers, however, Explorist’s receive upgrades to the best room available at check-in (excluding suites). Additionally, they can also request room reservations as soon as 72 hours before their planned stay. Explorist members also earn free nights faster with 20% bonus points on qualifying purchases.

Globalist

Globalist’s are considered the platinum members of  World of Hyatt. Compounding on the base points rewards, Globalist’s also receive 30% bonus points when staying at hotels. To reach Globalist status, a member must have 60 qualifying night stays, 100,000 base points or have hosted 20 qualifying meetings or events.

World of Hyatt Lifetime Status
Upon earning 1 million base points over the course of their membership, a World of Hyatt member can receive Lifetime Status. This tier gives qualifying guests all the benefits of the Globalist, including one free night award up to a category seven and four sweet upgrades every March. All points must be earned on the same account to reach Lifetime Status.
