Per the owner:
What we loved about what we bought was that it was an old contract which you cannot buy anymore essentially giving us 2 weeks in a Montecristo every year for 2,100 per week. This was very appealing to us as the cost per week was very reasonable and it always put us in phase 2 which in my opinion is very desirable for a few reasons. First reason being that you are always close to the marketplace so there is no need to wait for a shuttle to take you to the main areas, it is a simple walk. Another is that if you do not desire to walk in Phase 2 you can rent a golf cart which we always do because this gives you freedom to explore the whole property at your whim. You cannot rent golf carts in Phase 1.
We also really like that we have a private check-in at the Montecristo Clubhouse as well as a concierge that is assigned to us, so we can message him before we get there to make sure all the things we need/want are set up as the concierge remains the same person time after time. We just paid the refurbishing fee this year (which is the cost of 1 week stay) so that wont need to be paid for another 5 years also a bonus. Truly this is such a great deal and we wouldn't even consider letting it go but I really wanted to buy a vacation home in the states and our lives only allow us to vacation so much. So, with our parents getting older it just makes sense to bring them to a vacation in the states rather than Mexico.
